Everybody wants to be somebody, do you agree? I believe the desire to be somebody is inherent in every living soul on this world. No matter who we are or where we come from, all of us believe that we’re special, we’re different.
When we are young, we have a lot of goals. We dream even the impossible one. Noong bata pa tayo, sa tanong na “Ano ang gusto mo paglaki mo?”, ito ang madalas natin isagot “I want to be a doctor, an engineer, accountant, millionaire, business owner and president of the Philippines”.
Pero ano na ang nangyari sa mga pangarap na ito? Are we almost or totally forgot it? Naging busy sa job, barkada, gimik o tinamad na? Idagdag pa diyan ang pagsisimula ng sariling pamilya. Most of the time, even when you are not anymore happy with your job, you have to stay because of your responsibility.
Is there a good news?
Pinoy, the good news is this: you don’t have to take it. You don’t have to continue your life this way. You don’t have to just be average and ordinary. You don’t have to let everybody put you down.
If you’ll accept being average and ordinary, life will make you average and ordinary. If you’ll accept being unhappy, life will make you unhappy. If you’ll accept having financial problems, that’s what life will give you. But if you won’t accept those things, in most areas of life you can have anything you want. If you demand happiness, success, and fulfillment, that’s exactly what you’ll get.
But there’s one thing you can still count on. You can count on you. If you want to win, here’s the first step: you’ve got to start believing in you.
